Advocacy & Development Strategist
I was a volunteer way before I was a journalist or comms personnel. In 2018, I started with a advocacy project for the World Suicide Prevention Day and I’ve not stopped since then. Here are some selected advocacy and development projects in which I’ve played an administrative role.
I’m leading the curation of the second edition of the Kwara Books and Arts Festival, which is a four-day event spanning speeches, panels, exhibitions, advocacy drives, excursions, and performances.
In 2021, I served as the head of research and storytelling for the first-ever TEDxUnilorin. I headed a small team of writers, and researchers, and was a member of the core organizing board.

Besides my work as an editor and journalist with the union, I’ve helped organize a tranche of advocacy and development projects, including a book drive, numerous workshops, and exhibitions/excursions.
